WRITTEN BY: Mark Schultz
SHOW DATES: May 11th-12th and 17th-19th VENUE: La Cantina Royal (Williamsburg) SYNOPSIS: The Gingerbread House is a dark comedy about two parents, Stacey and Brian, who decide to sell their kids. At first, Stacey and Brian are both happy with their decision, but throughout the course of the play, Stacey slowly starts to feel as if she can’t escape the decision that she has made. In its essence, this play is about the human tendency to seek escapism and how escapism does not provide relief from pain, but rather delays and intensifies the inevitable hurt that is coming.
